Will I be able to stand up on my first lesson?

Everyone learns at a different pace but most people do stand up on their first lesson. We recommend you take a course of at least three lessons to really experience the feeling of surfing.

How long does it take to learn to surf?

That really depends on how well you want to surf! We recommend at least three lessons to get the feeling of surfing. Check out our beginner’s surfing package . Once you’ve done a beginner’s course you can move onto our 6 week course and then the intermediate lessons (the surfing journey never stops)

How many people are in a group?

Our instructor/student ratio is small. We have a maximum of five people in a group with an instructor in Bondi and six people in one group with an instructor for Byron Bay and Maroubra. This small ratio allows you to learn quickly as you get plenty of attention from your instructor.

What time are the lessons?

We schedule our lessons to take into account the daily tides and conditions – so our lesson times change from day to day. When you make a booking you will be shown the time options for your preferred date.

If I book a package of lessons do I have to take them on consecutive days?

No. Packages are valid for 12 months so you can book into any lesson time that is convenient for you. To book your next lesson, please give us a call.

I can already surf. Do you have any lessons for me?

Beginner lessons can be a great refresher if you have surfed a few times without any formal instruction. Our intermediate lessons are perfect if you can stand up consistently and are ready to progress to turning, using the rip, catching unbroken waves etc. If you are unsure of which lesson is best for you contact us and we’ll help you work it out.

When is best time to surf? Morning or afternoon?

The best time to surf depends on the tides. We schedule our beginner lessons around the low tide which is usually the best time to surf.
