Easily, when someone stands up for the first time. You see their face light up like they didn’t think they could do it, and suddenly it all clicks. It’s a sick feeling knowing you helped them get there.

What’s one tip you always give new surfers?

A couple of tips I always tell people in lessons are don’t look down at your feet, where your head goes your body follows and don’t be afraid to fall. That’s how you learn.
