Today we are celebrating love in all forms. Recently our country went through some tough times due to bushfires that had been burning for months. Together with our incredible customers we have raised $5,719! Yeeew!
Today is also the first day of the Mardi Gras Festival, a movement LGS proudly supports in the LGBTQI+ community. Check out our rainbow rashies when you head down to Bondi Beach!
And as ocean lovers, we love what we do and we love to share our passion with others. As Brenda Miley, LGS founder said: “We love people coming to visit us so we can show them what we love and what we do. You always feel better once you’ve been in the ocean, you’ll never regret a surf.”
Valentine’s Day for us is not just a couples thing, but appreciation of everything around us. Our amazing coaches share their thoughts about their love of surfing.
Robbie: “Surfing is so relaxing and fun. I love being away from technology and being able to switch off and wash away all the problems.”
Ash: ”It’s hard to say. It’s just a feeling I got when I’m in or even around the ocean. If I am having a bad day, surfing makes me feel better. (Maybe I was a fish in a past life Haha). If I am having a good day the surfing makes me feel amazing!!!!
Darcy: “I love surfing because it is a passion that I can share with my mates and no matter what is happening in my life a surf always makes me happy. 🙂“
Gabby: “Surfing is a way for me to connect with the ocean and reset. Getting out in the water and onto a board is exhilarating and clears my head, I forget about everything else going on for awhile. I come out feeling like a new person with more energy and calmness. It is also a great way to meet new people and bond in the ocean over something as wholesome as surfing. You never regret a surf!”
Our passion and love for surfing and the ocean are equal to our commitment to helping our community and the environment. This weekend we are joining forces with other local businesses in the #bondigivesback community fundraiser. Our Annual Ex-demo board Sale starts at 10 am on Saturday, 15th February. $20 from wetsuit/surfboard sold during this weekend will be donated to Australian Lions Foundation.
